Tobago, an idyllic island sitting a few miles off the coast of Trinidad. Largely un spoilt and thankfully, unlike some other Caribbean islands not over commercialised.

The people are some of the warmest and friendliest you will find anywhere in the world.  However aside from the breathtaking beaches, scenery and not forgetting the rain forest one of the most colorful aspects of the island is the bird life.

Tobago, along with its sister island of Trinidad  is the home for over 400 species of birds.  With a very mild climate and large areas of tropical rain forest,  Birds breed virtually year round.

This site is a very small collection of photographs taken during a visit to Tobago in early 2004.  As yet not all of the birds photographed have been named, these will be added in due course. If anyone has any additional photographs of the islands bird life that they feel would enhance the site then please e-mail them to tobago@webulike.co.uk we will attempt to include the best submissions.
